The stages are 20-20-35 for this race. 40 drivers in the field.
Dylan Murcott (55) brings out the first caution plowing into the tire barrier. He apparently lost his brakes.
Katherine Legge (15) qualified 22nd.
Justin Allgaier (7) wins the first stage.
On lap 31 of 75 the field is under the caution flag due to an engine issue for Ryan Sieg (39).
Austin Cindric leads the field to green on the restart on lap 33 of 75 .
Chase Briscoe goes around on lap 33 of 75. The green flag remains.
Dave Burns is in the booth with Dale Jarrett. Dave is calling everything – without regard to whether Dale is talking. Granted I often want Dale to just shut-up, but I don’t get paid to sit and share a booth and microphone and race call with him. Dave sounds manic when he starts trying to call everything at once.
Austin Cindric wins stage two.
Boring race as evidenced by the amount of time Dave, Dale and Parker are spending talking about people watching the race – as opposed to talking about the race, though Dave isn’t really giving anyone else a chance to say anything in spite of the fact he can’t actually talk about everything.
Katherine Legge (15), in her first NASCAR race, has made it up to sixteenth at the end of stage two. Good going.
They spoke with Conor Daly a bit earlier – during the Ryan Sieg caution. Conor says he loves racing and looks forward to having a go in a NASCAR car. He’s been giving advice to Roush Fenway Racing driver Ryan Reed (16). That menace needs a career change more than he needs driving advice. Indy Car driver interest in NASCAR seems to be on the rise again. It didn’t go so well the last few times they made the jump – Juan Pablo Montoya, Dario Franchitti, Danica Patrick, but maybe one of them will be another Tony ‘Smoke’ Stewart.
Andy Lally (90) stayed out, so he will become the new leader of the race.
Restarting on lap 45 of 75.
Ryan Reed (16) and Alex Labbe (36) were battling hard for second. He sent Labbe off the track then couldn’t make the next turn and ended up wandering through the grass.
Now that Cindric has gotten around Andy Lally they’re in fuel saving mode.
Tyler Reddick (9) spinning with a blown rear tire brings out the caution on lap 60 of 75.
Restarting on lap 64 of 75 with Austin Cindric staying out and in the lead.
Second place Christopher Bell (20) got turned by third place Elliott Sadler (1) in the first turn after the restart.
Caution on lap 66 of 75.
Katherine Legge seems to have blowed up.
Jeremy Clements (26) spun through a sand trap. He might have gotten into some oil from Katherine’s car.
Restarting on lap 70 of 75.
Justin Allgaier (7) takes the lead on lap 71 of 75.
Justin Allgaier takes the white flag.
Justin Allgaier wins!
Congrats to Alex Labbe on a 9th place finish.
Andy Lally brought it home 15th after a few spins.
Katherine Legge ended her first run in the Xfinity series in 30th after her engine let go.
