Super Bowl Sunday (night after Bud Shoot Out)

The Indianapolis Colts are playing the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl.  So far it’s been a pretty good game, but interestingly, I just don’t care.   – UPDATE – The game is over and New Orleans won!  And they deserved to win.  They were down after half-time and they came back on the field and used an onside kick as their first play and got a touchdown.  They win 31-17.  Peyton got picked off and the Saints took that in for a touchdown.  But the Colts didn’t play particularly bad overall.  They Saints were just invigorated after coming back with the onside kick, recovering the ball and going on for a touchdown.  NASCAR is underway!

So news from last night…Happy Harvick became the fourth(?) person to win back-to-back Bud Shoot Outs.  It was a trying weekend for Happy who stayed home from practice on Thursday with flu-like symptoms.  My husband Kasey Kahne came in second!  Kasey’s new Ford might do him well this season – we’ll see.  One crazy race doesn’t tell the tale on that one.  It ended on a caution.  Mikey got spun out by Newman and brought out the caution with 5 laps to go.  They decided to do a green-white-checker and Biff and Kasey were the only two who didn’t come in for a pit stop.  Big Daddy was bumping Biff and Kasey was bumping Happy and the next thing we knew Biff was sideways and hitting Kenseth, Carl and a few other people, bringing out the caution and ending the race.  Here are the final results:
Kasey Kahne was second and followed by Jamie McMurray, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.  Brian Vickers was sixth, Joey Logano grabbed seventh, and Gordon, Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya rounded out the top 10.
