Richmond seems to have been unusually hot so far this race weekend. Not sure if that will affect this night race. The cars are doing parade laps four wide as a salute to the fans. It’s reportedly Fan Appreciation Week in Richmond. Denny Hamlin will lead the field to the green flag. For some reason, pre-race Dave Moody of MRN said the track was a mile and a half making it technically an intermediate track. How strange is that? Joe Moore opened the segment talking about the three-quarter mile Richmond International track. Once the corner guys finished their spiels, Joe repeated that the track is three-quarters of a mile. Seems like Moody got lost there.
