2024 NASCAR Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum

The severe weather is expected to hang around through Tuesday.

MRN reports NASCAR says there will be a green-white-checkered to finish.

The front row will be leader ‘Desperate’ Denny Hamlin (11) and third place Ryan Blaney (12). As second place Kyle Busch lines up behind Hamlin on the inside.

MRN is reporting on a few cars with beef on the track. We’re stuck watching Hamlin sit unmoving on the track.

This was the worst FOX NASCAR broadcast I think I’ve ever seen. At one point when we were watching the track surface and the wheels of cars, I thought I’ll be glad when NBC no longer has the coverage; then I remembered this was the FOX broadcast. Really bad. Lots of missed coverage that MRN called. Lots of shots of children dancing in the stands.

Michael McDowell (34) is talking to Ross Chastain (1) after the race according to MRN. The conversation likely concerns an earlier incident in which Chastain turned McDowell. TV has Jamie Little interviewing ‘Desperate’ Denny Hamlin (11).

That was a grinding event, like old Richmond. It reminded me of watching a few washing machine cycles.

At 10:30 eastern MRN will broadcast the NASCAR Mexico series. I’m kinda looking forward to that. I was very much looking forward to it, until I saw the crap broadcast for the Clash. Maybe they will simply show the race for the Mexico series and leave the gimmick shots behind.
