Outside pole: John Hunter Nemechek (20)
Stages: 45-45-110

NASCAR digital isn’t displaying at the start of the event. It shows up on lap 5 of 200.

Wow, tv is bored early. They’re on a three-panel split-screen on lap 7 of 200. I wonder if they watched the boring Truck race, or if this is the usual bad broadcasting.

CJ McLaughlin (28) slid into his pit on fire.

Cole Custer (00) wins stage one.

Caution on lap 66 of 200 for Dawson Cram losing the left rear tire and wheel then spinning out.

Derek Kraus (11) wins stage two.

Caution on lap 95 of 200 shortly after the restart as Chandler Smith (16) goes around collecting Brett Moffitt (25) and Sheldon Creed (2).

MRN reports on lap 107 of 200 that leader Justin Allgaier (7) told his team over the radio that he either has a loose wheel or a tire coming apart. He advised them to be ready for him to come in for a stop.

Cole Custer (00) and Sam Mayer (1) pass Allgaier (7) on lap 109 of 200.

The team feels certain the tires are tightened on. His crew chief said John Hunter’JHN’ Nemecehk (20) has reported a similar issue. They believe it may be tire build-up. They advised him to come down from the wall and ride lower on the track to see if that helps the situation. Allgaier is mostly running a lane down from the wall now and is catching teammate Sam Mayer (1) for second position.

On lap 120 of 200 Justin Allgaier (7) and Ryan Sieg (39) both pit under green. MRN reports a crew member was pointing to the left rear tire. Allgaier thought it was a right-side tire. The team changes all four. Parker Kligerman (48) is also may have a tire issue and is pitting under green. Kligerman has a right rear flat. Allgaier’s lug nuts shown on television looks like there was a loose wheel.

Cole Custer (00) had a flat and pits under green.

Justin Allgaier (7) pits on lap 155 of 200 for a left-rear flat.

Cole Custer (00) serves a pass-thru penalty for too many guys over the wall.

Chandler Smith (16) is out of the event on lap 159 of 200. He said the engine blowed up.

Caution on lap 163 of 200 for a wheel laying on the outside of pit lane. MRN reports it’s been out there for a while and NASCAR finally decided to throw the caution.

For some unknown reason tv keeps showing some people mugging at the camera in the stands.

Restarting on lap 170 of 200 with Sheldon Creed (2) up front. Creed has older tires than most of the field.

Caution at the end of the restart lap on 170 of 200 for Dale Earnhardt Jr (88) sliding up into his driver Josh Berry (8) and sending Berry into the outside wall.

Restarting on lap 177 of 200 with Sam Mayer (1) and Austin Hill (21) on the front row.

Jeb Burton (27) pits on lap 187 of 200 with a flat right front tire after contact with Josh Williams (92).

Connor Mosack (24) hits the wall, runs through the grass, and catches the access road to get to pit road without bringing out a caution.

Sheldon Creed smoking heads to pit road as they come to the white flag with Sam Mayer (1) attempting to hold off Riley Herbst (98).

Sam Mayer (1) holds off Herbst at the line for the win.

JR Motorsports bossman Dale Earnhardt Jr (88) finishes fifth in one of his infrequent races. Jr says he didn’t know Josh was out there when he went up the track and ran him into the wall. How the rest of JRM finished: Brandon Jones (9) finished eighth, Justin Allgaier (7) finished fifteenth – one lap down, and Josh Berry (8) finished 32nd. Jr said he got loose and corrected up the track because he didn’t realize Josh was there. He thought Josh would run the middle. Jr said his spotter said all the right things, but he (Jr) heard something different.

That was better than the truck race, but not that interesting either.
