What a crap ending to the race. After leading a goodly portion of the end of the race to have it end on a caution the way it did – with confusion – was a downer. Kutey Kyle Larson went to Victory Lane and Justin ‘Dewy Alligator’ Allgaier finished second and won the $100k for the Dash for Cash. The fact that he was holding the big check and totally bummed highlights the lack of importance of the extra money. To quote an old commercial, “Do you want too make more money? Sure, we all do”. While money is good, in a sporting competition is shouldn’t be hyped more than the actual sport and the win or loss of money doesn’t match the ‘thrill of victory and the agony of defeat’.
