I missed most of this race. The Nationwide race was so boring it kind of soured me on watching the race. Kyle Larson won that one, beating out Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick who were strong all day. Good for him. I was surprised.
Something is wrong with Denny Hamlin causing him to be unable to drive this weekend, so Sideways Sam Hornish is in the 11 car this weekend. Apparently he’s having vision issues and could not get medically cleared. Gotta find out more about that.
There are lots of tire issues throughout this race making it a more interesting race than the Nationwide race. I never know who’s going to have an issue next and whether there will be a caution or not.
Unfortunately after a very strong run, leading 104 laps, Jimmie Johnson had a tire issue late in the race and had to give up the lead and come in for a tire change.
Just before Jeff Gordon gets to the white flag Clint Bowyer who was in second spun out due to a tire issue bringing out the caution.
Kyle Busch wins the green, white, checkered battle with Kyle Larson in this race to take the win. Kyle Larson followed Kyle Busch who bypassed a battling Kurt Busch and Tony Stewart who led the field to the green on the restart.
