The best part of this weekend was having Darrell Waltrip in the booth instead of Petty Kyle. Unfortunately that trend did not continue through Race Day. If only we could have race coverage with Petty Kyle or Larry McNuggets, it would be an improvement in coverage. If they could take Brad Daugherty with them it would be a much better Race Day.
Mega boring Nationwide Race. Elliott Sadler’s luck is getting worst and I didn’t think that was possible. He was hit re-entering the track from pit road by Brian Vickers who was trying to avoid a wrecking Reed Sorenson. Kyle Busch led them to the green flag, and to the checkered flag. He didn’t lead most of the race, but showed up at the end with a strong run.
Jeff Gordon leads the field to the green flag and leads all of the laps until the first caution. For long periods of time the top four cars on track were the Hendrick Motorsports cars. Each team member lead a number of laps. Jeff Gordon finished seventh. Dale Jr. finished fifteenth in his 500th Sprint Cup start.
It wins. Kasey finished second and Jimmie finished fourth. That sucks. Disappointing end to a relatively boring race. The cockroach effect was on display apparently looking at the results.
