The trucks rolled today. Hornaday was out of the race early, lap 22.
He blew a tire and hit the wall, but was okay. Harvick won the race. Kyle Busch did everything he could to catch up to Happy, but Happy had it all sewn up. Jimmie was fast in practice. Boo-Boo is on the pole for tomorrow. He’s got such a bad head these days it seems. After he found out he’d won the pole he was acting like he’d come in last or blown up the car. I wonder if he can stand the pressure. It seems the better he does the harder it is for him to take. If he doesn’t do well he’s kicking himself. The hives have been better today than they’ve been in a week. The steroids seem to be doing their thing. Bunny has sent the info for my trip to jolly old England. Once she gets confirmation I’ll put in for my time off. I’m already really excited about it. Ricky Carmichael got a pretty good finish today – in the top ten. Steven Wallace ran his first truck race. He was his usual reckless self. C’est la vie. Oh well, more tomorrow…
